Femi Kuti and his band, Positive Force Launches a U.S concert tour with kickoff at the Grand Central in downtown Miami

Femi Kuti son of Fela Kuti, the Nigerian legendary musician and the originator of Afrobeat is waxing strong as an all time musician.  Femi left his father’s band at the age of 24 to sort our his own musical path and identity. He has since been able to establish his musical identity in the entertainment industry by blending elements of hip-hop and jazz with the superior African rhythms. Though he was not trying to be his father or compete with him; he has succeeded in shaping a solid musical legacy of his own which can be an uphill task with a famous musician as Fela Kuti as a father.

According to our source, Miami Herald, among other awards Femi has won the Grammy  for his 2010 album Africa to Africa.
