Nigerian Movie make history in the U.S. Theaters (AMC)

A Nollywood movie titled Dr Bello is making history as the first Nigerian movie to enter the U.S. film market by debuting the U.S theaters as noted by  its producer, Mr Tony Abulu

Abulu on Monday in Abuja said that the movie would be released in the U.S. theaters from Feb  22  -27 to explore the foriegn potentials of the U.S. film industry. Abulu believed this will also create a platform for other Nigerian movies to enter the U.S. film market.

The movie, Dr Bello, will be starring Isaiah Washington, Vivica Fox, Jimmy Jean-Luis and Nigerian superstars Genevieve Nnaji and Stephanie Okereke: “The cure for cancer has been found in the sky mountains of Africa and an American oncologist will risk everything to find it.”

The film will open at AMC theaters in New York, New Jersey Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Jacksonville, Columbus, Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles.

Pete Edochie Fights Back Following The Recent Purported Rumor That Declares Him Death

The Nigerian Nollywood Superstar, Pete Edochie reportedly furious and felt insulted at the purported rumor that he died while shooting movie in Australia. The rumor first broke on Facebook in December, 2012. Mr. Edochie was especially not happy with the unnecessary pain and worry brought upon his family by the death hoax. At the end of the day, he remain thankful to God that he is alive, it was just a rumor.

Femi Kuti son of Fela Kuti, the Nigerian legendary musician and the originator of Afrobeat is waxing strong as an all time musician.  Femi left his father’s band at the age of 24 to sort our his own musical path and identity. He has since been able to establish his musical identity in the entertainment industry by blending elements of hip-hop and jazz with the superior African rhythms. Though he was not trying to be his father or compete with him; he has succeeded in shaping a solid musical legacy of his own which can be an uphill task with a famous musician as Fela Kuti as a father.

Nigeria Mourns The Death of Nollywood superstar, Actor Enebeli Elebuwa

Nigerian Nollywood superstar, actor Enebeli Elebuwa died early last month at a medical facility in India where he was undergoing medical treatment.

Enebeli died on December 5th, 2012 at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. His remains returned to Nigeria on December 15th, 2012 .

Burial arrangements are being made and according to a statement released by his family his funeral is scheduled  on January 9, 2013 through January 13th, 2013.
